JOURNEYSPG
Journeys is a five week experience, examing the Christian faith, through real people, amazing stories and changed lives.
Designed to introduce interested 'spectators' to Christianity, it utilises a unique blend of stories about faith, told by regular people whose lives have been impacted by God. Each session features powerful interviews about spiritual encounters, and shows how the christian faith works at 'street level.'
What does the Course cover?
• Week 1 - Is there a spiritual side to me?
• Week 2 - If God and heaven exist, what are they like?
• Week 3 - Does this faith thing work in real life?
• Week 4 - Does God have real power to change things?
• Week 5 - Crossing the line – what’s that like?
A typical week would involve a time of fellowship with coffee, watching the video (30min), and then time for small group discussion of about 30 min. Journeys is not confrontational but seeks to present the Christian faith as real, relevant and significant in our search for the truth about life and death. Week 5 does provide an opportunity for people to 'make a decision' although it also allows people the opportunity to explore further (perhaps through an Alpha course or similar) and maintain relationships with the people they have met through the five weeks.
The leaders guide and a 30 minute 'pre-course' training video will assist leaders to get the best out of the course. The Journeys kit contains 2 Videos or DVDs, 1 Leaders Guide and 5 Participants Guides (Journeys Workbooks). Additional Participants Guides and Leaders Guides can be purchased as needed.
Journeys is hosted by international journalist Rob Harvey. Rob takes participants on video journeys ranging from an encounter with the afterlife by a New Zealand surfer in the waters of the Indian Ocean, to 'Ground Zero’ in New York, and into the lives of people whose experiences will astound.
